Select from a vast roster, including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Yoshi, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr, Koopa, and Paratroopa, and pair them up however you like. One character drives while the other uses powerful items, including six standard power-ups and eight character-exclusive special items. Switch characters on the fly to optimize your strategy and dominate the track.

The multiplayer experience is better than ever! Up to four players can battle it out in split-screen mode on a single GameCube, or link two GameCubes together for eight-player action. For the ultimate Mario Kart showdown, connect up to eight consoles with Broadband Adapters, each with its own TV, for an intense head-to-head competition.
