Pokémon Diamond is peak classic Pokémon—the Sinnoh journey that brought online trading/battling into the mainstream and gave us one of the most replayable generations. If you’ve got nostalgia for pokemon red version, this is the modern (well… DS-modern) evolution of that same “start small, build a team, beat the League” magic.

You’ll explore Sinnoh, take on eight Gyms, and clash with Team Galactic as the story builds toward the legendary Dialga. Along the way, you can dive into Sinnoh’s Underground for secret bases and multiplayer-friendly side activities (local wireless features). 
Diamond also supported Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection features like the Global Trade Station back in the day (now discontinued officially), which is still part of why this game became such a talking point in the “top video games of all time” DS era discussions.
