The core mechanic is simple and ridiculously satisfying: draw loops around Pokémon to befriend them, then call on their Field Moves to clear obstacles, solve puzzles, and push the story forward. Shadows of Almia expands the original formula with a bigger world, more mission variety, and a progression feel as your Styler improves across the adventure. 

It’s also a strong “pick up and play” Pokémon spin-off if you’re deep into pokémon scarlet violet on Switch and want something different for a change of pace. And yes—this is the kind of title people remember when they talk about old retro games that still feel genuinely unique.
